In Hammer Heads you hit the heads of gnomes with your rubber hammer. Because the gnome population has gotten out of control they are popping up everywhere! Target of the game is to hit as many gnomes as you can within a limited amount of time.
Game Play
Hammer Heads provides you two game modes - classic and marathon.
In the classic mode, the game begins with just a few garden gnomes who pop out of the ground. Hit them on their heads with your virtual hammer.
Missing a gnome will cost you a live-heart, ignoring the gnome will cause him to pop back down unharmed, which will also cost you a heart.
As the game progresses, it gets quicker and more difficult. You will meet special gnomes very soon. Wacky women gnomes are a bit stubborn. You have to hit their heads twice in order for them to descend into the ground. Other gnomes must take off their helmets first that you can hit their heads.
Along the way, you can acquire up to 20 trophies for reaching special milestones, and do periodic mini-games, all to deepen your Hammer Head experience.
After each level you can see your game statistics: How many gnomes you have smashed, their accuracy percentage, or your speed bonuses for fast reflexes.
While the game play remains the same, the layout of the gnome environment will vary from level to level, such as a park with green grass, a city street, dry desert, or beach.
Game score
Some gnomes leave bonuses such as coins, cupids, strawberries or hearts. Treasure chests reveal coins inside, which you can use in the Shiny Store to upgrade the speed or power of your hammer. Earn 500 bonus points for all items on the bottom you can smash. Or get a speed bonus from up to 2000 points.
Hammer Heads emphasis on fast action instead of brain-bending puzzle modes. This quirky action game is fun, especially for those with fast hand-eye coordination. If you like fast-paced games, give Hammer Heads a try.
